Told from the perspective of an Infected.
The years have worn poorly on the Earth. The Humes, humans of old, the ones that haven't progressed beyond, are hunting the next step. The Infected as they are called. These beings, are the next step. The great evolution. And the pesky Humes can't take it. They have to hunt them down, kill them all, or brain wash them into being pets. After all, why else would they have a beast of such power in them? But wait, I'm getting a head of the history here. First, we found power. A limitless supply and, it was 100% efficient. Anything that you put it in, there was no waste. It was perfect. Of course this led to the creation of robots. A.I. Magnificent beings. Unfortunately the Humes had no idea what they were starting, when they didn't rein in on their leashes. The War broke out. Humes, bots, everyone, fought, died. Not many survived in the long run. Humes came out with this Ultimate weapon, Omega it was called. One that was so powerful, it actually required a living being, to control it. They used it twice that the public knows of. The first time, it destroyed the majority of the opposition. Another, it overloaded and took out most of Remnant Island, or rather, I'm sorry, North America. The Bots were defeated. Sent to scrap heaps on the the small island out there. The Humes, built great cities during the war to defend them selves. The temperatures were so bad that, if they hadn't found another way to survive, everyone would have frozen to death. After that war, not much was left. Wild life was gone. Humes, were put on the endangered species list. And that's where we come in. The Infected. We were first 'reported' just before the war. Our numbers quickly seemed to grow. After all, when their are so few of something left, any abnormality seems giant. The strongest of us at that time, broke off. He went rebel, and created a new home for us. Raven it was called. But not even there is truly safe. For the Humes know where it is, but can't get to it. Infected live relatively freely there. Death occurs, fights break out. If you're there, you get strong. Fast. After all, All Infected's are welcome, Friendlies, enemies, the meek, and the arrogant. Mandar, Tolnar. We're fairly evenly split, from Mandar to Tolnar. Those of us that are Mandar, want the peace between humes and our kind. We could care less that the Humes want to kill us. Tolnar. Well that's a tale. The Tolnar, want to control the Humes their in. Take over their bodies, kill and eat, and destroy. Kill the opposition, question your actions later. That's why in Raven, you grow strong or you die young. The rest of the world hates us. We have one place to go, and it's not much. What do you do? Flee to the outer world, where most people can't survive a day? Live in hiding in a barrier city, and pray you can keep your beast under control? Go live in Raven, perhaps, see how long you can live there, before some Tolnar comes and tries to kill you? It's up to you.
